Kosmos Scientific

Founded in 1989, Kosmos established a reputation for supplying astronomy equipment to the general public as well as to academic, research, and public-sector institutions. Over the years, we have built strong, long-term relationships with professionals who share a deep passion for the sky.

In 2004, we began our collaboration with Digitalis Education Solutions, and since then, we have delivered nearly 50 planetarium systems of various sizes across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

In 2017, we deployed the first 4K digital planetarium system ever sold by Digitalis globally. The projection system was integrated into an 18-meter dome supplied by Astro-Tec. The installation process spanned 45 days and included the configuration of a 220-seat theater. Since its inauguration, the planetarium has welcomed over two million visitors, making it one of the most significant high-resolution digital planetariums in the region.
