Diana Yoder is an Education Specialist at Digitalis, where she trains new customers, develops standards-based lessons, and represents the company at planetarium conferences across the country—both virtually and in person. She works closely with planetarians, particularly in the Northeast (GLPA and MAPS regions) and the West (PPA and RMPA regions), building strong relationships and supporting community growth.

Diana began her planetarium journey in 2015 as a graduate student at Clemson University, where she discovered her passion for astronomy outreach in a 38-seat Digistar 5 planetarium. After completing her M.S. in Physics and Astronomy, she worked at the South Carolina State Museum, gaining experience with both fixed and portable domes—including mastering the classic StarLab system.

In 2019, Diana moved to Ohio and became active in the GLPA region, first working at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery before joining Digitalis. She values the camaraderie of the planetarium community and has visited dozens of domes, always eager to learn and share ideas.

Her favorite programs to present are traditional “Backyard Astronomy” shows, where she helps audiences identify constellations and planets with the goal of inspiring lifelong curiosity and a love of stargazing.

Diana holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Physics and Astronomy and has been an active member of GLPA for over five years.
