Karrie Berglund co-founded Digitalis in 2003 and serves as the Director of Education. She plays a key role in curriculum development and product design. Her work helps ensure Digitalis systems are both educationally impactful and user-friendly. She is also responsible for sales outside of the USA.

With a career in planetariums that began in 1995—including outreach with Pacific Science Center using a cylinder StarLab projector and on-site programming in the Willard Smith Planetarium with a Spitz 512 starball—Karrie has decades of experience in science education. One of her favorite subjects to teach is the cultural interpretation of constellations, highlighting how our shared sky is viewed through diverse lenses.

Karrie is also the founder and current board president of the Live Interactive Planetarium Symposium (LIPS). Her leadership in professional development includes work with the International Planetarium Society and numerous regional conferences. She is a Fellow of both the International Planetarium Society and the Great Lakes Planetarium Society.
